Enfamil? Similac? Generic?Since a week old my son had been on Enfamil Nutramigen, he was diagnosed with whey and causin milk protein allergy, GERD and mild Soy intolerence. Then at 6 months we had an allergy test redone and we were told soy formula was a go. DH and I got a second opinion from an allergenist due to how allergenic soy is and that doctor told us we were in the clear to introduce cows milk based formula or soy.
Now here is the question (since my only choice in formula has been enfamil because similacs alimentum still contains the causin milk protein and my son was diagnosed with BOTH milk protein allergies) which brand do you believe to be the best? Enfamil or Similac? and generics do they work just as well?
Also, no breast is best stuff or advice to "relactate" my son is 7 months, exclusivly formula fed and I am damn proud of my choice.
Thanks in advance.
Unless its Obber, I loove your responses. Your a hardcore lady. I don't EVER agree with you but I always give you a thumbs up.
Breast milk contains the HIGHEST amount of lacto and causin. Wow, your completely uneducated. Go to college.

We began using similac but discovered real soon that generic is just as good and is half the cost. I compared the labels of wal mart brand to similac and they had the same exact ingredients but wal mart brand is half the price

Alyssa has milk protein allergies and Enfamil works good for us. If you join their online club they will mail you formula checks for $ 7 and $ 10 off which makes the name brands just as cheap as generic.

How can you be 'proud' of that??? Breast milk would take away all of these issues, don't you want him to feel better?
