Do I have a heart problem, or is this GERD?I have this nervous or maybe a burning sensation in my stomache, but my biggest concern is the fealing that I have in the center of my chest. The best way I can describe the feeling is wet and cold. My heart used to speed up a lot, but I believe I control that now, so it may have been me getting scared because of my smptoms. I have went to the doctor and had all this heart work done and they said everything looks normal. This feeling is a constant feeling that sometimes comes on stronger at times. It all most feels like my heart is speeding up but when I check it its ok. I also find my self waking up at night wide awake because of this sensation.
Could this be GERD? Is GERD a constant feeling around the hear area? I am sorry but I know no other way to describe it.

It sounds like you are suffering from Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Maybe bring it up to your Dr next time you see them.

You can have your doctor run tests for GERD to ease your mind but this mainly happens when you lay down after eating. Try elevating the head of your bed a little to see if it helps. You also might consider an anxiety attack which would give you the feeling of a fast heart beat and often sweating and lightheartedness.

GERD has to do with the GI tract, not the heart. I would see your doctor, but usually GERD is burning around the throat/upper chest.
