Can My Baby Have GERD?

Hi,I did the following:

Can My Baby Have GERD?It happened with my son and now my daughter, She is a month and a half. When I am nursing her, or even if I am bottle feeding her breast milk, she will eat for a few seconds, cry, keep sucking, cry. I burp her, but she still only drinks like for 2 seconds and is crying again. Could this be GERD? If so what else can I do except prop her up after feedings? I already sit her up.
She spits up curdled milk and vomits like a hose sometimes. I find it real hard to get in a 10 min. feeding. Sometimes I can only feed her 3min.

Go see your doctor right away. That's the only relief you'll really get. My newborn had GERD, it was terrible! He'd eat fine then puke it all back up (like a garden hose!). Through trial and error Previcid (dissolved) is working. But, he still spits up curdled milk.

Is her bed propped up?

There are different holds for reflux babies as well. I found laying my son tummy to tummy and proped on an angle worked. His feet hung at my hips while his head was at breast height. I'd very gently shake/jar him while I swayed or paced. I'd either sing or "sssshhhh" just the sound was comforting sometimes - and at 4 months still is.

The pain is from the stomache acid coming up the esophegus. So, mylacon won't solve it. If it gets worse call your nurses line. You can talk to an ER doctor as well if you call a local hospital. They can advise you on wether or not to come in. The bonus is, if you can't get in to see your doc tomorrow for meds they can give you something to make it through the night.

Good Luck!

It could also be an ear infection. Talk to your doctor about it to be sure.
