can someone give any advice on which formula is best for babies with severe reflux?my son is almost 6months and i have breastfed him up until last week. my oldest child was diagnosed with gerd and my son is on prevacid for his reflux but his spitting up was not controlled at all so i started to feel maybe he had a milk allergy and switched him to soy formula...it hasn't helped his spitting at all and has actually caused more problems such as constipation and fussiness...anyone willing to share there advice or experience PLEASE feel free

I went through all of this with my daughter. We tried different reflux meds and nothing seemed to work. Then we went through the process of changing her formula. We tried 3 different soy, a rice based formula, and many more. Nothing seemed to work until we tried Simailac Alimentum. It is expensive though. It cost 30 for a small can but it is worth the money!!!

Most babies who have reflux & GERD are usually allergic to soy and lactose. I have a son like that. We switched him to an organic lactose free formula, used COLIC CALM www.coliccalm.com for every feed, and switched to Dr. Brown's bottles. I recommend all three. This is what did it for us. Good luck.
