Mild nausea after eating, any idea what it could be?Hi, I am a nineteen year old male, who for the last 2 or 3 weeks has been having mild nausea after eating. I've never really been a big eater, so I wouldn't say that my appetite has decreased, but I do feel full very quickly. After eating, mild nausea is common for up to several hours after the meal. No vomiting, just a discomfort in my abdomen that is what I would describe as "annoying". No pain is involved, just discomfort and anxiety that it may be something serious. There hasn't been a change in my diet, I eat the same unhealthy foods that I always have. Thanks, if any of you have any idea please answer!

I have the same thing...I drink ginger-ale (ginger will slow the secretion of stomach acids that are causing the discomfort) Also anything high acid (which if your eating unhealthy your probably drinking soda...VERY HIGH ACID) will increase discomfort. Reeds ginger beer (no alcohol) and Hansons ginger-ale work the best as they have the most ginger. There are ginger candies too. As for other typed of ginger-ale make sure they say "made with real ginger" some store brands have so little ginger that they do nothing. Ginger tea is a really easy fix...put a couple tea bags in a water bottle with some sugar and there you go! Cheaper and easier and better for you than soda.

You could have an ulcer but research the symptoms...poor diets and stress very easily cause ulcers...oh are you taking lost of acetaminophen or ibuprofen?

Something that works great for me is mixing a little baking soda with water. It doesn't taste very good but is a natural cure. Another question though is which comes first, the nausea or anxiety? Anxiety can easily cause nausea.
