Having gall bladder surgery does mean that one has to change their diet. Your body will not be able to digest fats in the same way again, and that's probably what's causing the acidic symptoms. Cut down on the fats in the solid food, but do enjoy drinks that substitute for the fats in the foods. (The body does need some fats in the diet.) See if that makes a difference.

Yes, I had my gall bladder out several years ago and there are just certain things I can't digest properly anymore.
The main things to avoid when dealing with acid problems are : caffine (soda is bad, and coffee - even one cup makes me have bad problems), greasy foods - like pizza, fries, citricy foods - like tomatoe sauce, orange juice.
The best thing you can do is eat more alkaline foods. You can finds lists of these if you research a PH balanced diet.
One great thing to drink is green tea (decaffinated is better) and water with lemons in it - I know, I know, it seems like lemons are very citrusy, but they are actually very good for balancing out acids.
Good luck.
