How can apple cider vinegar help with heartburn?

How can apple cider vinegar help with heartburn?It is acidic and so is the heartburn. Won't that just make it worse?
This is a serious question. I am looking for ways to feel better. I have had heartburn so bad for 4 days straight now that it burns so bad when I eat that I just cannot do it.

take a glass of water, add baking soda and apple cider vinagar and drink it. I usually use regular vinegar but you can use apple cider

Sometimes heart burn is from not having enough acid in your stomach so give it a shoot. It will not make the heart burn worse. I had heart burn for years and then got on some meds for about a year and now have no heart burn at all.
