Is there anything that works for heartburn later in pregnancy?

Hi,I did the following:

Is there anything that works for heartburn later in pregnancy?I am 35 weeks with twins and I have terrible heartburn ALL THE TIME. I know this is just a part of pregnancy I have to deal with, but is there anything that helps? I am only getting about three hours of sleep every night because of this. My doctor gave me a prescription for pepcid. It worked for a while, but i think my body is use to it now or something because it does not work at all anymore. Any help would be appreciated!

Gavison/Rennie/Tums or if ur in the states u can take Mylanta.

i take ranitidine. Its the generic Zantac. Its the only thing that helps my acid reflux and GERD. You can get it at any store and dont need an Rx

You may ask your doc to switch your perscription. My doc put me on Prilosec 2x per day and that DID help. Once the baby dropped, I backed it off to 1x and am now off of it at 38 weeks. You can also use Tums along with it. And you can always try saltines and eating smaller, more frequent meals. And stay away from spicy foods! Good luck!
