What might be causing this continuing stomach pain?Off and on for a few months, I have had this dull stomach pain right at the top of my abdomen about an inch below the bottom of my sternum right in the middle. I've got GERD, but this is not heartburn, it's more a dull ache, and doesn't move up like heartburn does. I could actually place a quarter there to indicate exactly where I feel the pain. The area is also tender and hard to the touch. I know I need to see a doctor; just wondering if anyone else ever had anything like this? I take Paxil if that makes any difference in case it causes problems with the stomach.

It has to be the paxil. I take paxil 40mg and have the exact problem. I could point out the exact spot where it hurts in the upper part of my stomach . Do you feel like you want to vomit but cant and does the pain feel almost like a vacume type pinching?

It sounds like it could be an ulcer, or an ulcerated area in the esophagus caused by your GERD, or your sphincter isn't working properly. Taking the drugs prescribed by doctors causes it's own problems in the long run, which is a pain in and of itself.
Most doctors treat symptoms, they really don't go to the cause of these problems. And the biggest culprit is our diets. There is a simple dietetic cure that can make all the difference in pain in one day and it's a 4 day diet that's available for free on the following website.

There's also a free report that is called "What The Doctors Don't Tell You About Digestive Pain" that has to do with the medicines they prescribe for these problems.
I've suffered with these problems all my life until I tried this diet. It works. And she's got a great newsletter called PAIN FREE LIVING, which I enjoy receiving because there are all kinds of tips and clues to living pain free.
