What can cause bumps in the back of the throat?I can't see the bumps. If you were to take your finger and follow your tongue as far as you can down your throat and touch the part of your throat that if you had a hole there ur finger would come out front of your throat. Right there a little farther down u can feel a flap. right before that flap i feel a bunch of bumps that cause me to feel like something is in my throat.
I have been to the doctors for this twice and they have swabbed my throat and all the tests come back negative and they say it's nothing but they havent ever looked with a cam or anything to check. It bothers me alot. I do smoke but I'm quitting gradually and only smoke about half a pack a day now if that. I have really back heartburn which could be called GERD and I'm prescribed Ranitidine (Zantac) and Prevacid but prevacid gives me migranes sometimes so I just take zantac twice a day instead now.
I'm just wondering what the heck could be wrong?!?!??!!?

god this drives me nuts. i always feel like there is something stuck in my throat. they took out my tonsils coz there was a hole in them and they said "that" was the reason but it wasnt, coz it still happens! someone told me it has to do with heartburn, but i dont think so. so no i dont know the answer, but youre not the only one out there lol.

I'll be interested in the answers you get as I've got the same thing, but I've just got one little lump. I think as long as it's not painful and dosen't increase in size , then don't worry about it.
