Pregnant or paranoid? ?I have been diagnosed with PCOS and my husband and I are trying to conceive, using fertility drugs. My period started on December 25, a result of taking Provera (I have irregular periods). January 7, I went to have a mid-cycle scan to see if my ovaries were responding to the fertility treatments and they administered a pregnancy test, which was negative. It is now about a week and a half later, and I am experiencing what might be early pregnancy symptoms. My nipples are tender, breasts are somewhat achey. Some mild nausea, but that may come from my GERD or a medication I take. I know some of this can be premenstrual, but I only have periods 3-4 times a year and I don't ever remember having any breast issues with my period before, so I am doubtful that I am PMSing. So in your opinion, is this my mind making my body think it's pregnant or could this really be it for me? Anyone else ever been in this position?

I really couldn't tell you honey, of course those sound like pregnancy symptoms, but like you said, they could be caused from your medication, or from anything.. The thing I hate the most, is wanting a baby so bad, then asking a question on here, and getting responses like "oh yeah, your probably pregnant!" or "yeah, same thing happened to me, then I got a BFP!" and then you get your hopes up, just for you to take a test and it be negative.. So the only advice I can give you is to not worry or think about it, if it happens, great, if not, then God just has another time for you to be a Mommie, go take a test.. Good luck, I'll send ya tons of baby dust, and let us know if you are!

I'm actually in that situation myself. Except mine is a little different of course. I just recently had a little boy 10 months ago and stopped breastfeeding about 3 months ago and had one REAL period and haven't had anything normal since. I'm having symptoms of pregnancy and have yet to have a REAL period. Taken tons of tests and they have all come back negative, but it took me till I was 9 weeks to get a positive with my son. So, this honestly doesn't surprise me if I am pregnant and not getting a positive yet. Try not to fret. If you feel you are pregnant then you probably are. What I learned when trying to get pregnant the first time was this. . .
When I really wasn't pregnant and got a negative I KNEW I wasn't pregnant instinctively and stopped taking tests. (This is when I knew I was pregnant. >) When I missed my period again and took a test and it came back negative I knew it was wrong because I just KNEW I was pregnant and I fought for it. I kept testing and testing and everyone thought I was crazy and honestly losing it, but I KNEW. Sure enough. 5 weeks past my missed period I got a positive. So, don't give up if you believe you are. =)
