Possible Medical Condition - Help!?For the last three years, I have been experiencing what I call "miniature faints or blackouts." At first I get dizzy then I feel as if I am going into a deep sleep while my eyes roll back.... I never thought that it was a bad thing, until last week when it started to occur more often. Is this a medical condition or disease? Here is some of my medical background.
I have Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease
Heartburn after foods with high sugar (frequent)
Never had any surgery of any kind
I often experience these episodes when going from sitting to standing.
Sorry about these edits -
Most of my episodes occur in the morning before I've had breakfast.

It could be something related to your blood sugar ... or not
Do you experience these episodes when moving in a certain way? Like when you are going from sitting to standing? or when you turn your head a certain direction?

There is a kind of blood pressure that falls all of a sudden when going from sitting to standing or laying down to sitting. I am also concerned about the episodes you explain. Have you ever been checked for epilepsy? You can be getting what are known as petit mal seizures. If you've had a recent head injury before the episodes started this can cause this to happen.Although it sounds like you've been going to a GI doctor for your other problems you need to see an internist for a full physical including blood and urine work up. Make an appointment then please keep it. You only have one life to live, so you need to find what causing this so you can know how to help it from happening at all. Good luck and God Bless

It sounds like you're having hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) attacks. Especially since most of these episodes occur in the morning, before you've eaten. Try drinking fruit juice immediately when you wake up. Also, eat something small before bed every night, such as some fruit/veggies, whole grains and/or protein.
