GERD med alternative?I've been diagnosed by my Dr and the result is GERD. I also have hiatal hernia. She gave me Pariet, Mucosta and Motilium.. i took those meds it gives me relief but it doesnt get me well. I tried Omepron, still the same thing happen. It gives relief for a short time. Can u help me what tablet is effective for treating GERD? I avoid all those foods that triggered the situation. It is really a hassle in my part that i suffer flatulence. It affects my breathing. I cant breath good because my tummy is always full. Then i can experience indigestion everyday. And for hiatal hernia.. can it be treated with medicine? Help me pls. Whats the best medicine to treat GERD?

My wife has been taking my Prilosac. It seems to work

For me Protonix works very well. I have tried several other meds for GERD and ended up with a lots of weird side effects. Try to find the minimum effective dose of your med. Good luck.
