It can last forever....but if they are going to grow out of it they usually do by a year. my daughter grew out of it when she was almost 3 months because i took her to a chiro. would have been sooner then that if i knew a chiro would have cured her. if you want any info on a chiro and why just email me.

My daughter was also Diagnosed with GERD at 3months old by the time she was a year, she pretty much grew out of it and her pediatrician took her off of her meds. She is not 33 months, and from time to time she still gets some reflux, like if she is laughing to hard she will get the hiccups and then has some reflux, it generally does not always come all the way up or out I should say, but she still does have some reflux.I am hoping that as she gets older this will stop. It breaks my heart to see her having fun getting the giggles and then come the hiccups, and that starts the reflux. When this happens I just try to calm her down to prevent it from happening again. I have a friend that has had reflux all of his life, so unfortunately, there is no way of knowing if it will ever go away! But hopefully they will grow out of it! Good luck!
